APAARI invites the scientific community to participate in the InterDrought-V Conference

The Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) invites the scientific community, particularly agricultural researchers and professionals, to participate in the InterDrought-V Conference that will be held in Hyderabad, India, from February 21 to 25, 2017 at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC).

The conference provides an opportunity for participants to explore possibilities of scientific and technological applications in crop improvement, specifically for improving drought and other stress-tolerant crop varieties. Participants will be able to view and debate on key issues and strategies relevant for improving drought and other stress tolerance in crops. The main objective of the conference is to explore the possibilities of scientific and technological applications in crop improvement.

The topics that will be tackled during the conference include maximizing dryland crop production; plant productivity under drought; breeding for water-limited environments; and agronomic management for water-limited environments.

The Hyderabad conference is a continuation of the past conferences held in France in 1995, Italy in 2005, China in 2009, and Australia in 2013.
