DOST-PCAARRD announces 26 technologies to be showcased in Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest

The Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) of DOST-PCAARRD led by Dir. Noel A. Catibog announced the selected technologies that will be featured in the first Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest which will be held on December 6, 2022 (Tuesday) at the Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The announcement was made via the team’s guest appearance at PTV4 Channel.


Twenty-six technologies are set to be showcased during the first Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest (AIPF) on December 6, 2022 at the Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Under the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD), the event is spearheaded by the Council’s Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD)led by its director, Noel A. Catibog.

The AIPF showcases the best technologies with commercial potential in the agri-aqua sector.

The 26 technologies, divided into four categories, namely, Agri-Aqua Inputs and Products, Food Products and Beverages, Agricultural/Aquatic Equipment and Machinery, and Other Agri-Aqua Technologies, are as follows:

Agri-Aqua Inputs and Products

  1. OrgaMix of the Bicol University (BU)
  2. Coconut Bio-Organic Fertilizer of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA)
  3. BioTrichoF Liquid Trichoderma of the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC)
  4. Bagtik Indigenous Microorganism of the Bohol Island State University (BISU)
  5. Modular Black Soldier Fly Farming of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU)
  6. Probiotics and prebiotics from onion wastes for improved tilapia culture of the Central Luzon State University (CLSU)

Food Products and Beverages

  1. CalZing: A Calamansi Flavored Honey-Ginger Gel Tea of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV)
  2. Kardeli: Buffalo meat delicacies of the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC)
  3. Roselle herbal juice drink of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU)
  4. Furikake with Black Garlic of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU)
  5. Processing Technologies of Ready-to-Eat Products from Philippine Native Animals of the Isabela State University (ISU)
  6. Halal Chevon Products of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM)

As of December 1, more than 390 individuals signed up as onsite attendees of the event, while 300 individuals are expected to watch via Zoom or Facebook Live.
