DOST-supported technologies pitched to potential investors in 3rd Tech Pitch Days

Mature technologies were pitched by 35 technology transfer officers from the country’s state universities and colleges (SUCs) to potential investors and industry partners. This was done during the 3rd Technology Pitch Days organized by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).

Themed, “S&T Creations for the People” the event was held on May 27, 2021 via Zoom and Facebook Live.

Technology Pitch Day is one of the activities under the DOST-PCAARRD program, “Support to the University's Strategies in Technology Acceleration Initiatives by Nurturing the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management Offices of the Consortia Member Agencies - Phase 2 or SUSTAIN IP-TBM,” which involves 30 SUCs in Regions 1, 4, 5, 6, and 11.

DOST Secretary Fortunato T. de la Peña commenced the two-day technology pitching event and described every technology pitch with 3Ps: every technology pitch resonates the Power of S&T creations; every pitch creates Possibilities of Progress as the next start-up might come from this group; and every pitch calls for Partnership for Innovation as we aim to push our local inventions toward commercial success. He encouraged investors and industry partners present during the event to choose and invest on Filipino inventions, especially during these extraordinary times to be able to help rebuild our economy through S&T creation.

DOST Undersecretary for R&D Rowena Cristina L. Guevara; PCAARRD Executive Director Reynaldo V. Ebora; Deputy Executive Director for ARMSS Melvin B. Carlos, and Deputy Executive Director for R&D Feliciano G. Calora, Jr. also delivered their messages during the event.
