Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2002 Karen Loren Agustin-Ostrea trained PCAARRD partners from all over the country and staff members on corporate personality development recently.
The workshop was part of the Council’s training “Making a difference through celebrations: A knowledge session on event management 2” held at the Sulyap Gallery and Café in San Pablo City.
Considered as a marketing strategy and a communication tool, event management with all its attending protocols, is expected to assist the participating agencies in creating promotional events and communicating with clients and potential clients.
For PCAARRD participants, the activity served its importance in the implementation of various promotional activities of the Council the most current of which is the Farm and Industries Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA).
FIESTA is an event-based technology transfer modality of PCAARRD that aims to promote S&T and its products towards providing competitive and profitable business ventures for the micro, small, and medium enterprises in the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sectors of the country.
The participants were trained on the etiquette and protocol of event professionals such as grooming, dressing, business etiquette, and visual poise and posture.
Ostrea is the founder of Global Image Management, one of the leading personality and image development companies in the country. As a corporate image consultant, she holds workshops for private companies. As a personal image consultant, she has given image sessions to different executives, beauty queens, models, politicians, celebrities, and other professionals.
Karen, as she is fondly called, is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington, Center for Coaching in the US, International Image Institute in Canada, and John Robert Powers. She was also mentored by Karen Brunger, a world-renowned image consulting pioneer and leading image resource.
