Lakbay Aral goes to Pampanga. More than 40 participants of Lakbay Aral from Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Rizal, and Laguna visited the cucumber and lettuce greenhouses of Mr. Hong (inset photo) in Clark, Pampanga. Mr. Hong, a Korean national, shared his experience in growing vegetables in greenhouses using Korean varieties and production techniques. The cross visit was meant to enhance the knowledge of Magsasaka-Siyentistas, S&T(science and technology)-Based Farm focal persons, researchers, extension specialists, and administrators about efficient farm management practices and jumpstart the transfer of new technologies in vegetable production to PCARRD’s farmer-partners. The activity was jointly coordinated by HARBEST Agribusiness Corp. and PCARRD.
