The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) announces the change in its web address. From www.pcarrd.dost.gov.ph, the Council’s web portal can now be accessed as www.pcaarrd.dost.gov.ph.
The change is brought about by the recent consolidation of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) and the Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD).
PCAARRD is one of the Department of Science and Technology’s planning councils for research and development (R&D).
It is mandated to:
• Formulate policies, plans, projects, and strategies for science and technology development in the agriculture, forestry, aquatic and natural resources sectors;
• Program and allocate government and external funds generated for S&T efforts in the agriculture, forestry, marine and natural resources sectors;
• Monitor R&D projects; and
• Generate external funds for its R&D activities
The Council is engaged in active partnerships with international, regional, and national organizations and funding institutions for joint R&D, human resource development and training, technical assistance, and exchange of scientists, information and technologies.
