Are you a notable scientist/researcher or research administrator, or do you belong to an institution that has significantly contributed to the advancement of agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) research and development in the Philippines? You could be the next Pantas and Tanglaw awardee.
The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) is now accepting nominations for the said awards.
The Pantas Award recognizes outstanding scientists/researchers and research administrators, while the Tanglaw Award honors laudable research institutions.
Interested parties should submit seven (7) copies of the duly endorsed Pantas/Tanglaw Awards nomination forms with justification, comprehensive biodata, and other supporting documents to the Office of the Executive Director, PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna not later than January 15, 2019. Nomination forms, guidelines, and other details can be downloaded from www.pcaarrd.dost.gov.ph.
The winners will receive cash prizes, research grants (for outstanding researcher/scientist and institution), and trophies in 2019, and will be joining the roster of prestigious awardees in research and development including 2017 Tanglaw Awardee, Benguet State University (BSU); and 2017 Pantas Awardees, Dr. Porfirio M. Aliño of UP-Marine Science Institute (MSI) (scientist/researcher category); and Dr. William C. Medrano of the Isabela State University (research administrator category).
