PSciJourn Mega Manila elects PCARRD staff. PCARRD Applied Communications Division (ACD) staff members Butch S. Pagcaliwagan (leftmost) and Liza R. Gutierrez (center) were inducted as board members of the MegaManila Chapter of the Philippine Science Journalists, Inc. (PsciJourn) on February 27 at the Max’s Restaurant in San Miguel, Manila. Mr. Angelo Palmones (rightmost), PScijourn president national chapter and DZMM station manager, led the induction ceremony.
PsciJourn is a news service that aims to support the dissemination of science and technology (S&T) and other development-related information that can contribute to societal and economical development towards a science-based culture. It is composed of active national and local media practitioners on TV, radio, print, and the internet who have S&T as their beat.
ACD Director Lily Ann D. Lando, as well as ACD staff Alfred Franco T. Caballero and this writer were also inducted as members.
