Ribbon-cutting ceremony kicks off the two-day BCAARRD Agri-FIESTA. The Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development’s (BCAARRD) Agri-Farms and Industry Encounters through the S&T Agenda (FIESTA) highlighted three commodities namely, sweet potato, Queen pineapple, and coconut in a trade and exhibit fair located at the Albay Farmers Bounty Village in Cabangan, Camalig, Albay.

Farmers, traders/entrepreneurs, research institutions and the local government convened to express their support to the initiative of the consortium and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) to support and provide S&T intervention that will aid in sustaining the farming industry in the Bicol region.

BCAARRD Agri-FIESTA conducted exhibition and trade fair, technology fora, agri-entrep day with technology pitching, and cooking and photography contests.

FIESTA aims to promote spirit of collaboration among stakeholders through science and technology. Strengthening the agriculture, aquatic and natural resources sector of the region is its top priority.
