STAARRDEC hosts first KM4AANR Workshop

The Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research, Development and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC), led by Director Marilyn Escobar of Cavite State University, successfully hosted the “Knowledge Audit and Rapid Assessment Workshop” on September 17-18, 2019 at the Bali Resort Hotel, Tagaytay City.

The workshop is part of the program, “Mainstreaming Knowledge Management for the Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research Sector” or KM4AANR. It is funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).

The two-year program aims to institutionalize sharing of knowledge on S&T outputs of the AANR sector among PCAARRD and its partners in the regional consortia all over the country.

Aside from knowledge management (KM) representatives from consortium member agencies of STAARRDEC, other participants came from the Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD) and the Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC).

This is the first of a series of KM workshops to be conducted around the country. The outputs of these workshops will be consolidated into a KM system and be made available to the public online by the end of 2020.
