Secretary Fortunato T. de la Peña (center left) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Secretary Ramon M. Lopez (center right) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) officially opened the 2018 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) exhibits with the ribbon cutting ceremony at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Assisting the secretaries are DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations, Dr. Brenda L. Nazareth-Manzano (left); Undersecretary for Scientific and Technical Services, Dr. Carol M. Yorobe (rear left); and Undersecretary for Research and Development, Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevarra (right). Adopting the theme "Science for the People: Innovation for Collective Prosperity," this year’s exhibit presents an interaction of science technology and innovation (STI) for community progress in four clusters: Science and Technology Innovations (STI) at Home, STI in School, STI in the Workplace, and STI in the Marketplace. The DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) showcases its STI concerns in the Home and Workplace clusters, together with other DOST agencies and Regional Offices.
