Ang Citrus Genetic Resources Information System (CitRIS), isang ‘online database system’ na naglalaman ng mga impormasyon tungkol sa koleksyon ng citrus ay inilunsad kamakailan lang. Ito ay denebelop ng Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) upang mas pagtibayin ang pangangalaga ng ‘genetic resources’ ng citrus sa bansa. Ang CitRIS ay pinondohan ng Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development na ahensya ng Department of Science and Technology

Ang pili ay isang uri ng puno na matatagpuan lamang sa Pilipinas. Ito ay may produksyong umaabot sa 7,360 tonelada (mt) kada taon. Walumpong porsyento (80%) ng lahat ng nagbubungang puno ng pili sa bansa ay nasa rehiyon ng Bicol.

Patuloy na tinatangkilik ang pili sa loob at maging sa labas ng bansa na siyang nagdudulot ng positibong epekto nito sa ekonomiya. Ang ‘export’ ng pili nuts ay tumaas mula 18 mt noong 2015 naging 124 mt noong 2017.
