LOS BAÑOS, Laguna -- The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) is working closely with the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization (OPAFSAM) and other concerned agencies towards a common goal of curbing the coconut scale insect (CSI) or “cocolisap” outbreak in CALABARZON.

Faylon chaired the 22nd Technical Advisory Council (TAC) meeting of the Food and Fertilizer Technology Center (FFTC) last July 8, 2014 at Nantou County, Taiwan. 

The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) took center stage as it put up its biggest exhibit in years at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, from July 24 to 28 during the National Science and Technology Week.

The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) took center stage as it put up its biggest exhibit in years at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, from July 24 to 28 during the National Science and Technology Week.

The book “Higher Education in Agriculture: Trends, Prospects, and Policy Directions” is off the press.

PCAARRD Executive Director Dr. Patricio Faylon describing the intense engagement within the National Agriculture Research System (NARS) network of PCAARRD and the Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers (CGIAR) through WorldFish.LOS BAÑOS, Laguna-- In what is described as a “historical” move, PCAARRD and WorldFish came together to craft their 2014-2015 Work Plan of Cooperation. Building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in October 2012, both agencies sought to solidify their partnership by identifying specific areas of collaboration and complementation for implementation in the next two years.

The Los Baños Science and Community Foundation, Inc. (LBSCFI) will celebrate the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) through SyenSaya, the Los Baños Science Festival, on September 10―12.
