BALANGA, Bataan – A memorandum of agreement was recently forged in connection with a coral restoration project for the coastal towns of Bagac, Bataan and Subic, Zambales as beneficiaries.

ALAMINOS, Pangasinan--A joint survey was conducted recently by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) and staff of the Coral Reef Restoration Program at Hundred Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan.

Representatives from the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD), a sectoral council of the Department of Science and Technology, visited Kiamba town in Saranggani recently.

Organic vegetable produce of farmer-cooperators in a project funded by DOST’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development   (PCAARRD) was showcased in the recently concluded First Laguna Organic Agriculture Congress held at the Cultural Center of Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

The initiative seeks to improve national productivity through increasing nut yield by 226% in 2020.

LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA - A workshop on sustainable land management (SLM) best practices was held recently at BP- International Makiling, Jamboree Site, Los Baños, Laguna.

An inception meeting cum workshop was held recently at the Isabela State University (ISU) to review the specifics of the project “Advancement of Science for the Sustainable Utilization and Conservation of Forest Genetic Resources of Falcata and Yemane.”

Los Baños, Laguna now boasts of its organically-produced vegetables. After a few months of seminar-lectures and hands-on trainings, the farmers of this town have started harvesting and selling their produce initially in fairs and festival.

His work, a photo of a dish full of sardines which he titled  “Oro” or Gold in English depicts how valuable sardine is for the ordinary Juan of Zamboanga City.Zamboanga City –It was Zamboangeños talents at its best as students join the city’s latest crusade: a dynamic sardine production in the Zamboanga Peninsula and better livelihood for its stakeholders.
