LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA – DOST’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), together with other government agencies, met recently in an effort to level off on the Program Budget Approach (PBA) for programs and projects relating to climate change.

Staff from DOST’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) visited Central Mindanao University (CMU) at Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon recently to conduct a review and field visit in connection with a project on pteridophytes.

DOST’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development braces its position within the dynamic and evolving National Agricultural Research System (NARS) through various partnership agreements as formalized.

As a form of assistance to typhoon Pablo-stricken communities of Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley, DOST’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) provided funding to help five barangays learn seaweed farming as an alternative source of livelihood.

The seaweed pickles emerged as the winning dish of the Seaweed Culinary competition.Davao City – Other than celebrating the bounty and economic potential of seaweed, the source of livelihood for many Davaoeños, the Seaweed Fiesta puts the spotlight on fisherfolk, who continually exert effort in improving seaweed production in their barangay.
