Layon ng proyekto na patnubayan ng siyensya at teknolohiya ang produksyon ng mga kalidad na pananim ng Makaasim at Batikuling na katutubo sa Mt. Banahaw de Lucban.

Ang unang Pilipinong iskolar sa ilalim ng Transnational PhD Program sa Nagoya University Asian Satellite Campus (NUASC) ay nagtapos na.

Sa isang seremonya na isinagawa sa Toyoda Auditorium ng nasabing paaralan, tinanggap ni Dr. Ronilo O. de Castro ang kanyang PhD sa Bioagricultural Sciences, major in Animal Science kabilang ang iba pang 17 nagtapos sa Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences (GSBS).

Nagbahagi ng mga materyales para sa ‘longline method’ ang University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) at ng Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) sa isang barangay sa Sorsogon City.

Ang longline method ay isang pamamaraan ng pagpaparami ng tahong.

Nakatanggap ng ₱14.5 milyon ang University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) para mapaunlad ang mga pasilidad na ginagamit sa pagsasaliksik sa hipon.

Ang pondo ay nagmula sa Philippine Council of Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) Facilities Development para sa National Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources R&D Network (NAARRDN) Program.

Gagamitin ang pondo upang itaas ang antas ng mga pamisaan ng unibersidad,

Nagbigay ng ₱4.9 milyong pondo sa University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) ang Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) upang mapaunlad ang mga pasilidad ng unibersidad.

Ang ‘investment’ na ito ay isa sa mga inisyatiba ng DOST-PCAARRD upang masuportahan ang mga katuwang nito sa mga rehiyon ng bansa.

Binuhay muli ang pakikipagtulungan ng dalawang ahensya ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at Malaysia.
