Students from VSU's satellite campuses and employees from the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 8 joined the competition.

In an effort to empower geographically, economically and or socially disadvantaged (GESDA) communities and social groups in the agriculture, aquatic and natural resources (AANR) sector, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) envisioned another modality titled the Science and Technology Community-based Program for Inclusive Development (STC4iD).

How can rice be made creative and interesting? The Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) answered this with a fashion show. 

The fashion show was featured during the Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA) on Rice held recently on November 12-13, 2018 at the Philippine Rice Research Institute, Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. 

About two thousand farmers convened for the first Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA) on Goat. 

Held in Balanga, Bataan on November 21-22, 2018, the activity was spearheaded by the Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD). 

The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST-PCAARRD) Acting Deputy Executive Director for R&D Edwin C. Villar was recently inducted by the Career Executive Service Board (CESB) during the 45th anniversary of the Career Executive Service (CES).

LOS BAÑOS, Laguna – Indigenous vegetables in the Philippines are being documented in a project being implemented by the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The project is funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).
